Paige Hopkinson

Undergraduate student

Paige is an undergraduate student in the last year of the honours biology-physiology research specialization program. She has been with the lab since the summer of 2022, working on various culturing projects including for Genome Canada. She won the University of Guelph-McMaster university One Health Summer Studentship, researching spore forming bacteria in humans and horses and looking for virulence genes. Paige is continuing to work on this project for her undergrad thesis. Outside of the lab, Paige enjoys going to the gym, reading, and baking!
